The Project...
I was approached by this client for the creation of a logo for a start up catering and events company. The clients wanted something that would incorporate the companies mission statement to the logo allowing enhancement of its identity. Taking this into consideration research was conducted. Various decorative designs the company would for events were looked into; it was discovered the company uses various combinations of flowers and colours. The research and client requirements were combined to created various paper drawings of the logo (flow fidelity). A digital copy of the low fidelity design was created once the clients had agreed on a design. Once again, the client was kept in the loop; consulting the client with the digital copy.
Roses of various colours were placed in an aesthetic arrangement; wrapping a ring around the letter "R" which was used to identify the company. The client had them told me they would like The "R" and some of the roses gold enhancing the "Event decoration".
Once the client had seen this design they also wanted a second logo which could be used on employee uniforms. "The second logo would need to include the original logo". Yet again the identity of the company was kept in consideration. It was discovered that the work "rang" in hindi was defined as "colour". After experimenting with various designs; using quick sketches on paper which was seen as being efficient, a second logo was created.
How did I create these?
The logos were created using Adobe Photoshop. Using various brushes and filters the coloured powder for the background were created. The roses were individually placed to create a perfect arrangement.
